Welcoming the Second Batch of International Students: UM Kendari International Students 2026
KENDARI — Universitas Muhammadiyah Kendari (UM Kendari) continued to welcome its international students for the 2026 intake through the Second Batch Welcoming of International Students at UM Kendari, held on September 15, 2026.
The activity was part of a series of welcoming events for international students who will begin their academic journey at UM Kendari. The Office of International Affairs (OIA) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Kendari was present to warmly welcome and assist the students upon their arrival in Kendari.
The second batch consisted of three international students from different countries: Osayd Basel Ibrahim Nijim from Palestine, Jamatia Bancon Interino from the Philippines, and Niven Shehata Abdelwahab Abokar from Egypt.
The students’ arrival took place in a warm and enthusiastic atmosphere. This welcoming moment marked the beginning of their adaptation to a new environment, their introduction to academic life at UM Kendari, and the development of cross-cultural experiences and connections throughout their studies.
With the arrival of international students from diverse national and cultural backgrounds, UM Kendari continues to strengthen an inclusive and diverse academic environment. Their presence also contributes to UM Kendari’s efforts to expand international networks and create opportunities for global interaction within the university community.
