Welcoming the First Batch of International Students: UM Kendari International Students 2026
KENDARI — Universitas Muhammadiyah Kendari (UM Kendari) welcomed the arrival of its international students for the 2026 intake through the First Batch Welcoming of International Students at UM Kendari, held on September 14, 2026.
The activity was part of a series of welcoming events for international students who will pursue their studies at UM Kendari. The students were warmly welcomed by the Office of International Affairs (OIA) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Kendari as part of the university’s commitment to providing support and assistance from the moment international students arrive in Kendari.
The first batch consisted of three international students: Jeckline Apajok Ajak from South Sudan, Ulimboka Nsajigwa from Tanzania, and Halima Musa from Tanzania.
The welcoming process took place in a warm and enthusiastic atmosphere. This moment marked the beginning of the students’ journey to adapt to their new environment, get to know the university, and begin their academic and cross-cultural experiences at Universitas Muhammadiyah Kendari.
The arrival of international students from different countries further enriches the diversity of the UM Kendari community. Through its internationalization programs, UM Kendari continues to create opportunities for broader academic and cultural exchange while strengthening connections between students from Indonesia and different parts of the world.
