DKI UM Kendari

KENDARI – Universitas Muhammadiyah Kendari (UM Kendari) continues to demonstrate its commitment to expanding its academic reach on the international stage. Through the Faculty of Law, in collaboration with the Directorate of Cooperation and Internationalization (DCI) of UM Kendari, a global cross-cultural learning process is currently being successfully implemented.

This strategic milestone is realized through the "International Teaching Class Program: Academic Visit," featuring a delegation of academicians from the College of Criminology, Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST), Philippines.

The intensive academic program, which ran from April 29 to May 11, 2026, aims to provide an inclusive, international-standard learning experience for students. Through this international class, both institutions share legal and criminological perspectives while strengthening bilateral relations between higher education institutions in Southeast Asia.

Fostering Cross-Cultural Learning

During the classroom sessions, students from the Faculty of Law at UM Kendari had the opportunity to interact directly with instructors from NEUST Philippines. The interactive discussion atmosphere highlighted the high enthusiasm from both sides in analyzing various cross-border legal case studies.

This program is expected not only to enhance the academic quality and global insight of UM Kendari students but also to pave the way for future research collaborations and other exchange programs, aligning with UM Kendari’s vision as a progressive Virtual Islamic University.
