Visit by International Students from UM Kendari to Syahid Al Khalifah Elementary School

Kendari, February 13, 2026—An atmosphere of enthusiasm and joy filled Syahid Al Khalifah Elementary School as it welcomed a visit from international students from Muhammadiyah University (UM) Kendari. This event provided a valuable opportunity for the students to interact directly with students from various countries, while also broadening their understanding of cultural diversity.

The visit aimed to introduce the culture and educational practices shared by the international students from UM Kendari. During the event, the students not only introduced themselves and their home countries but also engaged the students in collaborative learning through various engaging activities such as educational games, simple conversations in English, and cultural introductions.

The students appeared very enthusiastic about participating in every activity. They had the opportunity to practice speaking English directly with native speakers, which was certainly a new and enjoyable experience. Additionally, this activity helped boost the students’ confidence in communication.

The school welcomed this visit and hopes that such cooperation will continue in the future. According to one of the teachers, this activity was very beneficial because it provided students with a different and more contextual learning experience.

Meanwhile, the international students expressed their delight at being able to visit and interact directly with the students at Syahid Al Khalifah Elementary School. They felt that this activity not only provided teaching experience but also enriched their understanding of Indonesian culture and the education system.

This visit is expected to strengthen cross-cultural ties while having a positive impact on the development of students’ language skills and character from an early age.
